WASHINGTON D.C.—As of this morning, eighteen democratic senators and one very adamant scarlet macaw have come forward in asking Sen. Al Franken to resign from serving as senator of Minnesota after several allegations of sexual misconduct.
This was the first time in government history multiple Democratic senators have organized to oust a fellow party member while a similar campaign carried out by a single scarlet macaw ran concurrently. Below are some of this morning’s tweets:
It was reported that all nineteen beings have maintained incredible poise in the face of backlash so far, with the exception of one who demonstrated “nervous behavior” with “jerking head motions” and “anxious babbling”. Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois has shown these tendencies before. More to come as the story develops.
